Rev Avis A. Boswell , the Youth Minister, is a 2007 graduate of The Interdenominational Theological Center (ITC) with a Master of Divinity (M.Div.), minor in Psychology of Religion and Pastoral Care and Counseling. Her hometown is Okeechobee, Florida and she graduated Magna Cum Laude from Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University (FAMU), where she received her Bachelor of Science (B.S.) Degree in Health Care Management and a minor in Rehabilitation Services Administration. While at the ITC, Rev. Boswell was an active member of the Gammon Student Fellowship (United Methodist) and also held several leadership positions within the Student Christian League (SCL) as well. She was also initiated in The International Society of Theta Phi (Interdenominational Theological Center Chapter), which is an Honor Society for theological students and scholars in the field of Religion. In addition to her many academic involvements, Rev. Boswell enjoys sharing her faith with others and finds great joy in seeing people come to Christ. Her greatest desire is to know Christ and make Him known in the world.

 

Rev. Vincent Miller, the Director of Pastoral Services at Warren began his journey to ministerial studies at the United Theological College of the West Indies in 1972. He did further study at Queen’s University in Ontario, the Presbyterian School of Christian Education in Richmond, Virginia and received his Doctor of Ministry in 2001 at Emory University in Atlanta. He has held several pastoral appointments in the North Georgia Conference of the United Methodist Church including Laster Chapel in College Park, Centenary UMC, , Henry M. White UMC , Calvary UMC all in Atlanta and the Barnesville Parish in Barnesville, Georgia.  As Director of Pastoral Services, Dr. Miller tends to the spiritual needs of our sick and shut in members, assuring that they are kept connected to the activities of the church. He personally visits them at their homes, in nursing homes, and hospitals. Rev. Miller’s professional affiliations include membership in the North Georgia Council on Ministries, where he is on the Committee on Ethnic and Local Church Concerns. He is also a member of the North Georgia Ministers Fellowship.
